The first IPA brewed at the Matuška Brewery combines Czech and American hops. The IPA style originated in 19th-century England. IPA was exported by the East India Company to India, where England had its colonies. The beer had to survive a long voyage in a warm environment, so it was brewed stronger and more hopped. Hops protect beer against harmful bacteria. For our Raptor, we used a blend of Czech, English, and American ingredients using our brewing process.
